Tahiti
The largest, highest island in Polynesia, was formed by 3 volcanoes whose geological history began around 1 million years ago. The result is a unique relief, with large steep-sided valleys and 2 islands, Tahiti Nui and Tahiti Iti, connected by an isthmus. The highest point of the island is the Orohena at 2241m.
Moorea
The island of Moorea is recognizable by its very characteristic shape. It is an ancient volcano whose caldera collapsed on its northern part, subsequently forming 2 bays: Opunohu Bay and Paopao Bay. Between the two rises the famous Mount Rotui, at an altitude of 900m and further south Mount Tohiea which dominates the island, at 1207m.
Bora Bora
Famous for the beauty of its lagoon, the “pearl of the pacific” represents the ultimate stage in the evolution of the high islands. The relief has been largely eroded and submerged, where Mount Otemanu at 727m remains in the center of the island. The motus are vast, as are the lagoons with multiple bluish hues.
Made in Tahiti
The maps are created digitally first, then the wood pieces are shaped using a numerically controlled (CNC) machine. Each piece is created with meticulous artisan work and finished in the GeoArt woodshop.
Since each wood piece is different, each card is unique and special. They are all numbered by the geoartist.
